About the Faculty
Ashutosh Dave is the Team Manager for Quantitative Research at OSTC Ltd., where he applies his extensive knowledge of financial derivatives and quantitative finance. With over a decade of experience, Ashutosh is also an educator, contributing to content development at QuantInsti and teaching Python in their flagship program, EPAT. He is a Certified FRM (Financial Risk Manager) and earned his Master’s in Statistics from the London School of Economics with distinction.
Ashutosh is the co-author of A Rough-and-Ready Guide to Algorithmic Trading, a practical resource for those entering the field. In his personal life, Ashutosh enjoys balancing his professional responsibilities with his role as a dedicated father and husband, alongside his passion for teaching and learning.
Ashutosh’s ability to simplify complex financial concepts and his experience in derivatives trading make him an excellent mentor for aspiring algorithmic traders.
EPAT Teaching
Ashutosh provides a comprehensive introduction to Python, covering data types, control structures, and functions, along with key libraries like NumPy and Pandas for data manipulation and analysis. Participants explore Object-Oriented Programming concepts, learning to use classes for efficient backtesting and understanding the benefits of OOP in quantitative trading.
